MOSCOW, November 29 (RAPSI) – Russian investigators have again dismissed as without foundation a motion filed by a convicted punk rock group protester to investigate the administration of the prison where she was previously serving her sentence, the local Investigative Committee reported Friday.

Investigators dismissed on October 24 Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova’s request to open a case against the deputy warden of the prison.

Tolokonnikova declared a hunger strike on September 23, and requested the initiation of a criminal case against the deputy warden, who she alleged threatened her with murder. She also complained about her custodial and work conditions.

She called off the strike on October 1 because of unspecified health problems. On October 18, she declared another hunger strike, and after a few days the authorities said she would be moved to another prison. In November, Tolokonnikova was transferred to the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

A Moscow court sentenced Tolokonnikova and two other Pussy Riot members to two years in a prison in August 2012 for hooliganism, for performing a “punk prayer” protest against President Vladimir Putin in a Moscow cathedral.

An edited video of their performance was posted on the Internet that caused a public outcry.
