MOSCOW, October 3 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow police arrested a gang of several dozen masked men who broke into an office building armed with an arsenal of weapons including nunchucks and bladed weapons, investigators said Thursday.
On Wednesday afternoon, police received a report that a gang of masked men had burst into an occupied office building in an eastern Moscow neighborhood, the Interior Ministry press service told RIA Novosti.
Police arrested 44 people at the scene, and also confiscated “nine traumatic weapons, which had legal licenses, cloth masks, pepper spray, folding knives and kitchenware, brass knuckles, a metal expandable baton, nunchucks, and steel bars,” the spokesman said, without explaining the possible motivations for the incident. Three people received medical attention for minor injuries.
The group will be charged with hooliganism, the Interior Ministry said.
