MOSCOW, October 2 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow police are hunting for three men who used a lasso to tear a cash machine containing 9 million rubles (some $280,000) from a drug store in Moscow, a local police spokesman said Wednesday.
The robbers put the lasso around the cash machine, dragged it out and loaded it into a white minivan and escaped in the vehicle.
The incident, captured on CCTV, happened on Tuesday morning.
According to the Moskovsky Komsomolets daily, the pharmacy’s security guard saw the suspects escaping into the morning mist but made no attempts to prevent the crime.
