MOSCOW, September 29 (RIA Novosti) – A 17-year-old Russian teenager was found dead with three gun wounds in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, his bag with money, credit cards and cellphone by his side, local media reported Saturday.
The victim, Sergey Danshin, a student of a London college, was spending holidays in Brazil with his four friends and teacher, said Globo.com news website, which carried a photo of the alleged victim’s passport.
Danshin was last seen hanging out unaccompanied at a bar in the local city of Marica on Friday night, the report said.
Police were not ruling out a robbery attempt despite the fact that the student’s valuables were not missing, Globo.com said. No other versions of the shooting were announced as of Sunday.
