MOSCOW, September 21 (RIA Novosti) – A 61-year-old woman in central Russia died after falling asleep with a bullet in her leg, the Interior Ministry has reported.
It turned out that the woman and her partner, a man aged 61, visited the man’s nephew a few days before to help him gather potatoes, and drank alcohol, the ministry’s department for the Lipetsk Region said on its website on Friday.
After that, the man, whose name was not mentioned in the statement, asked his nephew to give him a sporting gun for a while. When he arrived home, he decided to show the gun to his woman but accidentally pulled the trigger wounding her in the leg.
The woman dressed the wound on her own and fell asleep. At night, the man found her dead.
An investigation is under way.
