YEKATERINBURG, September 16 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian court on Monday sentenced a man from the Urals region to life in jail after finding him guilty of killing three of his family members at a local cemetery.
The man went to the cemetery to see his parents and brother, who had been living there after he evicted them from their home in August, the verdict said.
His mother accused him of kicking them out, and when he hit her, his brother tried to intervene. It was then that the man drew a knife – attacking and killing his mother and brother. He then killed his father, who had seen the attack.
Investigators said that his time working in a slaughterhouse helped him deliver the fatal blows. He now has 10 days to appeal the sentence, the court said in a statement.
