MOSCOW, September 11 (RIA Novosti) – A prominent Russian photographer in the country’s fourth-largest city, Yekaterinburg, faces 15 years in prison for killing his model wife in a fit of rage, investigators said Wednesday.
On the night of August 23, a drunken Dmitry Loshagin, 38, fatally injured his 28-year-old wife, then drove her body to a nearby forest where he dumped it, the local branch of the Investigative Committee said in a statement.
He later returned to the body, doused it in flammable liquid and set it alight in an effort to conceal his crime, the committee said.
Loshagin has not offered any explanation for what happened, the committee said, adding that the investigation was ongoing.
