WASHINGTON, June 26 (RIA Novosti) - Vitalii Sediuk, the Ukrainian television prankster who made a name for himself by gate-crashing celebrity events, has been given 3 years probation, the entertainment website TMZ reported this week.

Sediuk achieved global notoriety in February when he attempted to storm the stage at the 55th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles as British singer Adele was accepting her award for Best Solo Pop Performance. This was Sediuk’s second major stunt, as he had received a slap from Will Smith after attempting to kiss him at the Moscow premiere of “Men in Black 3” in May 2012.

According to court documents, Sediuk, 24, who faced up to 6 months in jail for his Grammy Awards stunt, made a plea deal on June 20. In addition to probation, he is also banned from LA Live, the venue where the Grammy Awards and other major show business events are held.
