MEXICO, November 11 (RIA Novosti) - At least two people were killed and several more wounded after a group of armed assailants attacked a casino in the Mexican city of San Luis Potosi, local prosecutor’s office repored.
One of the killed in the attack was a local businessman and a brother of a mayor of one of the towns in the state of San Luis Potosi. The brother of the victim held the post of the mayor between 2009 and 2011 and his main focus was the fight against the organized crime.
The prosecutor’s office did not specify whether the assailants stole any money, but said that police already identified three of the suspects, who fled the scene of the crime in a car.
In August of 2011, some two dozen gunmen burst into the Casino Royale in northern Mexican city of Monterrey, doused it with a flammable liquid and started a fire that trapped gamblers inside, killing over 50 people.
