Six people are on trial in Russia's Krasnoyarsk Region for running a brothel with eleven women including three minors inside a wedding registration office, the General Prosecutor's office said on Monday.

The gang, headed by Vyacheslav Durandinym, 46, and Alexander Malakhov, 38, ran the prostitution racket from 2009 to 2011 in the town of Achinsk, the General Prosecutor's office said.

"The accused used a local sauna and 'apartments by the hour' in the Achinsk hideout, located in the building of the local weddings registry office," it added.

The gang took orders for the girls by telephone and delivered them to clients. They were prevented from leaving the building and punished with fines and physical violence if they tried to escape, prosecutors said. The gang kidnapped four of the girls and unlawfully imprisoned three of them.

Police broke up the racket in April 2011.

The gang is accused of being engaged in prostitution, organizing prostitution by use of force including against minors, kidnapping, sexual offenses, freedom of movement, theft and illegal arms sales.
