Roughly two tons of cocaine have been seized by the Colombian and the U.S. Coast Guard from the United States-bound ship in the Pacific Ocean, Chilean La Segunda daily reported on Friday.

The smuggling vessel, loaded with 1.9 tons of cocaine worth $65 million, was captured 120 nautical miles from Bahia Solano on Colombia's Pacific Coast, the daily said.

According to the La Segunda, the four men, who have been arrested onboard the ship, are allegedly members of the Los Rastrojos drug cartel operating in Colombia. They will be sent to the United States for prosecution.

Colombia is one of the world's largest cocaine suppliers with at least 345 metric tons of the drug produced in 2011, most of which found its way to the U.S. and European markets.

Over 35 tons of cocaine has been seized in Colombia since the beginning of 2012.
