Let it snow!

The amount of snowfall in St. Petersburg, Russia’s second largest city, could be compared with the Genesis Flood, the rector of the Russian State Hydrometeorological University, Lev Karlin, said.<br /><br /><br />Last winter, local authorities faced criticism from residents for failing to clean up the snow. Damage from the heavy snowfall continued for over a month.<br /> <br /><br />This year, the winter seems to have brought even more snow, causing several ice-related accidents. However, St. Petersburg authorities say the clean-up effort has been more successful.
