The parents in Lancashire, Great Britain, have demanded that local authorities reinstate the gender of the Gingerbread Man, who was stripped of his sex over political correctness and renamed a “person.”
The new wording of the traditional cookie made of gingerbread in the shape of a human appeared on the new fall-winter weekly menu of 400 primary schools provided by the Lancashire School Meals Service.
The news shocked parents who called it ridiculous and offensive. Authorities said the renaming of the cookies was a mistake and the Gingerbread Man will have its gender back by Christmas.
