Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has introduced changes to Article 1 of the federal law on the safe use of pesticides and agrochemicals, which allow agricultural producers to increase the amount of organic fertilizers used in the soil.
After the law comes into effect, the time-consuming and costly procedure of state registration of pesticides and agrochemicals will not be applied. The increase in the amount of organic fertilizers, including peat, will lead to the growth in the fertility of the soil.
