MOSCOW, August 8 (RIA Novosti) - US food and beverage corporation PepsiCo is evaluating the damage Russia's import ban would cause its Russia, Ukraine and CIS branch but says all of its products sold in Russia are made in Russia, the company told RIA Novosti Friday.

“We have manufacturing operations across Russia and almost all of our products sold in Russia are made in Russia. We also source many of our raw materials from local suppliers. We abide by the laws and regulations in all counties where we do business and we are reviewing the new policy,” said Marina Zibareva, communications director at PepsiCo Russia, Ukraine and CIS.

The company has more than 30 enterprises in Russia, which employ about 25,000 people. The company invests more than $9 billion in Russia's economy, according to the company's data.

PepsiCo was among the companies that suffered from Russia's introduction of a one-year ban on agricultural and food product imports from the countries that have imposed sanctions on Moscow over the Ukrainian crisis, namely Australia, Canada, the European Union, the United States and Norway. The list includes meat, poultry, fish, seafood, milk, dairy products, and fruit and vegetables.
