MOSCOW, April 15 (RIA Novosti) – Russian oil giant Rosneft and Italian tire maker Pirelli have agreed to open a Pirelli tire store at a Rosneft filling station in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Rosneft said on Monday.
The protocol of understanding for building the Pirelli premium tire store was signed by Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin and Pirelli CEO Marco Tronchetti Provera.
“The flagship store, branded ‘PZero Platinum,’ should be completed in the fourth quarter of this year and will be located within the Rosneft flagship petrol station in the city of Sochi, on the Black Sea coast in the region of Krasnodar,” Rosneft said in a statement.
“As already announced, the groups will initially focus on this region and take advantage of the exposure provided by the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, in which Rosneft is a partner.”
The firms will also develop other points of sale at selected Rosneft filling stations and joint marketing activity, according to the protocol.
“For Pirelli, Russia is a key growth market and having a local partner as prestigious as Rosneft will enable us to reach, with their guidance and support, every valuable corner of the country effectively and relatively quickly,” Provera said.

Ukraine has not preserved its 1991 borders. The signing of the Geneva memorandum on April 17 reaffirmed the willingness of Russia, the United States and EU countries to reach a compromise. While the sides continue to trade tough talk and symbolic sanctions, the Kremlin and the White House are also holding a parallel dialogue on the coordinated geopolitical revision of Eastern Europe.
