An improvement of Russia’s investment climate must become a key criteria in evaluating the quality of state governance, Prime Minister and presidential hopeful Vladimir Putin repeated on Wednesday.
At a meeting with his proxies, members of the United People’s Front and political scientists on Wednesday, Putin said Russia must join the group of the world’s top twenty countries offering the most convenient conditions for business compared with Russia’s current 120th place.
“The improvement in the investment climate in Russia must become a key criterion for assessing the quality of state governance, and a system of Key Performance Indicators must be introduced to assess personally each head of ministries and departments,” Putin said.
A government official who fails to ensure that a freight container is transported within the set time limits had better find another job, Putin said.
