Russia's economy cannot grow solely on the vast reserves of oil and natural gas it has, President Dmitry Medvedev said.
"I hope most of our nationals realize that opportunities for hydrocarbons-driven growth have been exhausted for this country," Medvedev told the Vedomosti business daily.
He added that all political parties, from the ruling United Russia to opposition ones, realize that the economy should be modernized.
