Russia's Nanotechnologies Corporation, or RusNano, is to take part in an innovative pharmaceutical project worth $900 million with British partners, RusNano Chief Executive Officer Anatoly Chubais said on Thursday.
Chubais met on Thursday with a delegation of British business people led by British Business Secretary Vince Cable.
Chubais mentioned "non-silicon electronics, light emitting diodes and pharmaceuticals" as promising areas for bilateral cooperation.
"I believe that we will create something serious in the area of organic light emitting diodes. Another interesting sphere is innovative pharmaceuticals. We are considering a project worth $900 million. This will be the largest project in Russia's pharmaceutical business," Chubais said after the meeting, but did not mention who the partner companies might be.
RusNano was set up in 2007 as a state corporation for development of nanotechnology projects.
