India Keeps Close Eye On Infiltration by Pakistani Terrorists
Vikas Swarup added that, “The BSF Director General stressed the importance of vigilance against cross border infiltration to prevent terrorist activity and check for narcotics smuggling. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen measures to coordinate border patrols on their respective sides of the border and address each other’s concerns in a time bound manner.”

The last meeting between the BSF and the Pakistan Rangers was held in September in New Delhi last year, during which the two sides had decided not to fire heavy artillery like mortar shells and ensure that civilians living along the border were not harmed.
