BEIJING (Sputnik) — On Saturday, the number of people dying in floods totaled to 114 in China's Hebei province with 111 more missing, according to local media reports.
Floods triggered by torrential rains started in June and are reportedly the worst since 1998. Natural disaster affected some 14 million people in 58 cities, including in the capital of China, Beijing, with over 500,000 people evacuated from flooded areas.
The country's economy suffered losses worth over 25 billion yuan ($3.8 billion).
